Work and Travel

Work and Travel USA for Ecuadorian university students

Work legally in the United States during your university break, earn in dollars, sharpen your English and travel once your contract ends. J-1 visa, vetted employer and LANGEX support on both ends.

Work and Travel — participantes de LANGEX

Work and Travel is an official U.S. Department of State program that lets university students work temporarily during their academic break. For Ecuadorian students that break runs from December to March.

LANGEX works with sponsors designated by the Department of State, so your contract, insurance and J-1 visa come through the official channel. Before you fly you know the employer, the hourly wage and where you will live.

  • Earnings in dollars

Hourly wage set by the labor law of the state where you work, with overtime available.

  • Real English

Four months of daily conversation with customers and coworkers beats a year of classroom study.

  • 30 days to travel

A grace period after your contract to legally explore the United States.

  • Support in both countries

A dedicated advisor in Quito and the sponsor's 24/7 emergency line in the U.S.
